Your everyday life, what do you do?
I have worked in the fashion industry with management for over 15 years, while within the same company I helped start an influencer agency almost 6 years ago. Today I am self-employed, have my own company, where I assist clients and brands with their influencer & social media strategy.
I was driven by a strong desire to manage my own everyday life - and a desire to be able to meet customers exactly where they have a need.
What - or who do you find important and inspiring in your life?
I am so lucky to be surrounded by strong women in my life. They are my safety net, my family & my "chosen" family. I am very inspired by women, especially those who give so much to others and who know what they are capable of and stand by themselves – the mothers, the teachers, the creatives, the independents, all of them. We praise them (and ourselves) too little. My older sister Maria Down has been there all my life. From when I was younger and "borrowing" her clothes, playing with her makeup and everything she did was so cool. Whenever I felt uneasy or sad, I could always sleep at the end of her bed and then I felt safe again. She is extremely knowledgeable about life, love and people - gives a lot of herself in her work with vulnerable children and young people, and I admire her enormously for that - finding the energy to give back - and at the same time being able to raise 2 wonderful young people women and make them strong and ready to face life. She is my eternal rock and has also supported me a lot on my way to becoming independent and (semi) grown up.
