Meet: Christin Hertz
Your daily life, what do you do?
First and foremost, I am a mother and wife, that is my biggest priority in life. Workwise, I am a medical doctor and have been in the pharmaceutical industry for nearly a decade. Today, I am a senior medical director in a big Danish pharmaceutical company working with scientific communication and engagement with external scientific communities. I have always been somewhat impatient in my work life, always seeking opportunities outside of the normal path. I am motivated by people, an ever-changing environment and projects where I can innovate or create new solutions.
When I am not working, I knit. A lot. I started some years back and I am totally addicted. My work life is very scientific, analytic and data driven, so being able to use my creative part of the brain, using my hands and actually producing something is incredible rewarding to me. I am also quite into clothes and fashion, so being able to knit my own fashion with the choice of color and style, is an added benefit!
What – or who do you find important and inspiring in your life?
I get inspired by a lot of people in my life, both personally and professionally. The common theme of these people is probably their passion. Passion can come in many shapes and forms, but when it's there, it's very clear. People who are dedicating all their energy and commitment into something and always striving to be better, is for me truly inspiring. I have also always been fascinated by risk-willing people. People who sacrifice stability to live out a dream, is something I really respect.
