Meet: Christin Hertz
Your everyday life, what do you do?
First and foremost I am a mother and a wife, that is my biggest priority in life. Professionally, I am a doctor and have been in the pharmaceutical industry for almost a decade. Today I am a senior medical director in a large Danish pharmaceutical company that works with scientific communication and engagement with external scientific environments. I have always been somewhat impatient in my working life and always looked for opportunities outside the normal path. I am motivated by people, a constantly changing environment and projects where I can innovate or create new solutions.
When I'm not working, I knit. A lot. I started a few years ago and I am totally addicted. My working life is very scientific, analytical and data-driven, so it's incredibly rewarding for me to be able to use my creative part of the brain, use my hands and actually produce something. I'm also really into clothes and fashion, so it's an added advantage to be able to knit my own fashion with a choice of color and style!
What - or who do you find important and inspiring in your life? I am inspired by many people in my life, both personally and professionally. The common theme of these people is probably their passion. Passion can come in many guises, but when it is there, it is very evident. People who dedicate all their energy and commitment to something and always strive to improve are truly inspiring to me. I have also always been fascinated by risk takers. People who sacrifice stability to live a dream is something I really respect.
